Melissa is a registered Associate Social Worker in California with a passion for working with individuals navigating the difficult parts of life. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College, and a Master of Social Work from San Diego State University. Melissa has been a school social worker for grades K-12, with an emphasis on working with teens experiencing mood and trauma-related disorders. Melissa has also worked in residential mental health care with teens and adults in various capacities, including trauma-focused treatment. She is knowledgeable and passionate about providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care for severe mental illness, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
Melissa believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and operates from a person-centered and humanistic approach. She utilizes a collection of evidence-based therapy modalities, including ACT, CBT, DBT, MI, and solution-focused therapy to support clients with sustainable progress. She tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, fostering holistic well-being and promoting lasting change. Her specialties include working with trauma survivors and the LGBTQ+ population. Melissa has been with Crownview since 2024 and loves being a part of this incredible team!
