Lauren is a registered Associate of Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) for California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Criminology from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of La Verne. Lauren’s therapeutic abilities have been strengthened through the utilization of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities. Lauren has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Therapy: Crisis Intervention Model, Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Lauren is knowledgeable in therapy techniques targeting severe mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders and trauma. She has acquired experience working with children, adolescents and adult populations in various settings including criminal justice system, community non-profit organizations, school district, residential, outpatient and field based. Lauren has worked with individuals, families, couples and facilitated group therapy. As a clinical therapist she encompasses a compassionate, authentic, creative and collaborative approach with her clients throughout their treatment journey. Lauren joined Crownview at the end of 2020 and is supporting clients to reach their identified goals by developing healthy coping strategies and behaviors in order to persevere in life.
