John “JP” Flores was born and raised in San Diego California. JP has over 16 years working in the Behavioral Health Care Field and throughout the years has helped organizations improve and expand their services. As Crownview’s Licensing and Compliance Director he ensures that the organization and its team adhere to all outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies. JP has also taken on the roles as Crownview’s Safety and Performance Improvement Officer. He manages organization-wide efforts to ensure Safety and Performance Improvement activities are developed and focuses on improving safety, operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness. JP has been instrumental in expanding Crownview’s services and has successfully opened and obtained Licensing, Certification and Joint Commission Accreditation for Crownview’s IOP and Residential Programs.

He currently holds the Masters level Substance Use Disorder Counselor and Clinical Supervisor Certification by the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP) Certification Board. Additionally, JP is certified as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist by the California Consortium for Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).

Before finding his way to Crownview, he was the Clinical Supervisor of a Teaching Therapeutic Community in Vista California. Having gone through treatment himself, JP pursued a career in the Behavioral Health Field. “I love what I do because someone took the time to help me many years ago, I’m just giving back what was given to me”.
